The Natural Capital Finance Alliance (NCFA) is the former name of a partnership between Global Canopy, the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), and the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), now called the Encore Partnership. Together, they developed a free online tool to help organizations understand their environmental impacts—ENCORE.

7 April 2015, Washington D.C. – NCD Workshop for Pilot Project on Advancing Environmental Risk Management

Date and time: 7 April 2015, 9:30-12:15 EST

 

This workshop will focus on a project proposed by the IFC to advance environmental stress testing and integration of relevant factors into credit risk assessment. This will build on tools the NCD is developing with GIZ and Bloomberg on water risk in equities and corporate bonds. Discussed will be a scoping study and work programme to inform implementation starting around mid-2015, subject to securing US$4.2 million pledged conditionally by the Swiss Government to fund the project.
